What mod places 5 Similar Threads at the bottom of a page under the post? Is it the check for Similar Threads before posting by MrNase? Thanks.

It's a default vbulletin option. vboptions > thread display options > show sim threads and vboptions > message searching options > a couple of places there. Then make sure you do as it says and rebuild sim threads in Update Counters.

Is there a way to display the similar threads at the top of the page instead of at the bottom? If so, how? Thanks.

Similar threads are just placed in the page via a variable (I think it's even called something like $similarthreads). Just move the variable to where you want it in the SHOWTHREAD template.
