Modified Articles...
Hello,
This isn't a big concern, but the lack of consistency is what has me confused. A couple of months ago, I submitted an article, here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=210394 - Take note of the by-line (By: Nick Rodriguez) Yesterday, I submitted another article with that same by-line, but it was edited and removed: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=215423 Is there any particular reason the by-line was removed in one and not the other? Personally, I think that if we are willing to submit our own content for use on vB.org, we should have some right to have what we want in it as long as it isn't obtrusive, spammy or inappropriate. |

thank you for submitting your articles; we really appreciate it when others share their knowledge
We have a general rule when it comes to articles... you may link to your site; you may have few links within article; but if it starts to look spammy we will remove the links What is "spammy"? having too many links; linking to same place more than once ultimately, our staff has our full support in what is considered "spammy" We also prefer (although we don't promote it) if authors post their byline, site URL, and short bio (ie. About the author...) at the bottom of their article. (which you have done - thank you) I hope this helps. fyi I've edited your article by removing the title (it's not needed as we already display it) and moved your byline to the bottom of the article. |
