Default RSS problem

Ok well, on the forum we have BBC news which is meant to search the feed (http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonl...t_page/rss.xml) which is meant to update every 30 minutes.

It's on the Scheduled task as checking every 30 minutes, however it doesn't seem to. I last ran the task at 12:50, since then 2 new headlines were posted on BBC news but no new threads were made on my forum.

However if i go on admin cp and say check the feeds it finds 3 and makes the appropriate threads.

So doesn't seem to run on its own even though its on scheduled tasks to? any ideas o.0

If you look at the RSS feed manager, what does it say for the last checked time? Is that changing? And how about in Scheduled Tasks - is the Next Time changing in the Scheduled Task manager?

The last time checked is when i last went on adminCP and clicked run (atm 4PM when current time is 5;06)

On Schedule next one is 5:20.

All you've told me is what the Scheduled Task manager says. I asked several other questions. Post after the next Scheduled Task runs.

When you grabbed the feed, were there any rules posted regarding it and how often you were allowed to ask the server for updates?

I just tried it on my test site and it works (I let it run via the Scheduled Task), so it isn't a broken feed.

Did this feed used to work and then it broke? Are you running any other feeds at the same time? Is there anything in your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host)?

Try disabling your plugins and see if it runs correctly.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

PHP Code:
define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);

Nope and the feed runs fine as i get a popup with the latest feeds every 30 mins, however it just doesn't want to update on the forum :S

I've just lately added the feed
Theres 2 feeds running both from BBC news, one for technology and one for Headlines.

will do.
