Is there any sort of ad management system that will do this?
First off, I just spent an hour searching through all the vB 3.8 mods and couldn't find one. I tried searching older version sections as well, but to a lesser extent.
What I'm looking for is an ad management package for the header (elsewhere would be a bonus) that can track statistics such as how many times the ad is clicked, unique clicks, etc. so I can tell my advertisers how their ads are doing. I know they should be tracking this themselves but many have very basic pages. The other feature I'd like is I like how the sites that have done this have all the links hidden then redirected. Third, and more complicated, it'd be nice if you could set a time limit for the ad to run (or better yet, have the option to link it to a Paid Subscription). A perfect example is AR15.com. If you hover over their ads you'll see that they're all internal links, which are then redirected. I salivate thinking of all the data they're able to pull from their system (I assume they're able to pull the data). This would greatly improve my relationship with my advertisers. By the way, my site is http://www.northwestfirearms.com. Any ideas? m4carbine.net also uses something similar for their large banners, I believe. |
