Add-On Releases - Radio and TV Player 3.8.x

This will add a fully featured Radio and TV Streaming Player with stations library to your forum.

Features:
- Users can add / delete / edit own stations (controlled by usergroup permissions)
- Users can have a favorite stations list
- Report broken / duplicate stations links
- Totally coded in AJAX (no page reloads)
- Plays Windows Media Player, Real Player and Quicktime streams
- Shows user's favorites and last played station in profile page
- and much more...

Installation is easy. You need to upload some files, import a product, import the default stations (if you wish) and make only two manual navbar template edits, one for the popup link and another for the javascript that opens the popup. This is optional and the link can be put elsewhere, just remember to also add the javascript on the same page.

This mod is "Re-usable Code", meaning you can modify and release your modified version.

You are responsible for the streams you add to your website. The mod author doesn't take responsibility for possible copyright infringements in some countries by using some stations.

Arabic and Chinese don't work with Ajax, so this mod won't work, sorry.

This mod took roughly two weeks to code, so it should be somewhat good and bug free

What I didn't understand is how to make a .xml file like they have in post #3. Those stations are good, but I was actually looking for one's in my local area.

Here is what I found that may help someone.

Note: Below is how I stream audio. You may do it differently. If so, please post it in this thread so we will have different ways of doing it.

How to stream Audio from your favorite Radio Stations:

1. Goto http://www.thestreamcenter.com/

2. Click on your state which you want to find. I will use Colorado since that is the one I wanted to find. Example I got for Colorado: http://www.thestreamcenter.com/pda/?state=CO

3. I wanted ?Alice105.9?, so DON?T click on that. Click on the button on that line that says ?Listen Live?

4. Click the ?Open? button

5. Click on the file in the in the ITunes box, and right click on ?Get Info?

6. You will see a block called ?Edit URL?. Click that and highlight the URL.

7. Now paste it into your player?

This hack is dead and was reported by other members as not working, so it cant be my media player i have been using even when the radio was working. damn it!
i have over 1000 stations, i tried about 30.

If your talking about post #3, yea I had a bunch of those that didn't work, that's why I went and found the stations myself... Another good one is this site. Click on the streaming screen, properties, and copy the URL...

there should be an option to export stations, that creates the xml for you.

mmmm no answer, i got all my members to go crazy trying out all the radio stations and nothing, not 1 worked. i'll try deleteing the whole thing, then install again i guess!~

maybe you added stations that dont work anymore, most of those xml files are old and many dont work. I myself test all new stations I add, and frequently test the old ones cause many cease to exist, changing urls all the time.

come to think of it, I think they do that so you need to access their site to listen to stations, they do that against people that use their links, but this is a wild guess.

Hello Every one i installed it but have error on page when ever i try to open it its open but with error and also radio and tv not working all i see in wmp ready and thats can any one help me to fix it

up to 500 not working, including all the stations in your hack. thanks for the info.
