1. Create a new directory in ftp.
2. Move all related vb files & folders to newly created folder. 3. Change URL path in the admincp -- vbulletin options --> url settings 4. Change any paths related to file storage such as attachments/avatars/customprofilepics etc. |

No more ideas are needed. It's pretty simple and the guy above summed it up well.

THIS might be one of the MOST VALUABLE Question/Answer on this forum...!!! Thank you HyperActiv for asking the question, and thank you snakes1100 and AzH for your prompt answers!!!
I myself will use it in the near future, as I too have my forums on my server's root, but I guess that we could improve this matter. Quote:
- how to tell other sites that have links to our boards? - What will happen with RSS feeds? - What could affect the members? - Will google loose all that was in its cache? (Will it have to rebuild its index?) - How about someone who already has done something like this post a checklist so it will be fail-safe to do this job on our boards? (I believe that this last one would be the most important of all!) Once again, thank you so very much!  |

Google and SE will recrawl and auto index, don't worry about it. They're not dumb
