Is there a mod which can send an instant pop up notification to members from admin? Something sort of like the banning message which pops up as soon as you send it to them?
I ask, because I see my members (older crowd) having problems navigating in WOL. I'd like to help them instantly. Thank you |

You can post notices and specify who gets them (either a specific user, a usergroup, and many paramteres)

actually, what you need is a direct chat with your members, which nothing is available...
anyway, what you want, with the popup, is called when you reload the page, it's not really instant... yourbest shot would be a little tutorial posted in your forum... people are able to read it when they need... having too much interaction with your members may not be the best solution, as they would feel spied upon... |

Funny you say that. I have little tut's everywhere. They never find them to click them. In my original post I referenced (older crowd). We're talking older sports figures over 60 who only know to click things they can see or make sense to them. Most of my site is picture links for them to click on. When it comes to spelling or using search that is where the problem is. I send them PM's with the proper navigation but sometimes they've already left and don't come back for a couple days to extended periods of time. Hence the reason why I'd like an instantaneous response. The older crowd doesn't mind the help. They prefer it. |

so you need a "live chat" engine installed on your forum.
so, your life look like what, you are 24/7 on your forum, looking at everybody on WOL all the time, trying to figure out who is in danger and what you have to tell them?!... i would suggest you use FirstClass™ as a forum then, because vBulletin is a forum, not a live tracking device... |
