Always wanted to see if i could create a successful game community. So far I've only got 64 registered members, although the forum has only been up for a couple of weeks. Reason as to why i choose "only" to have a forum, is that I got no skills with web coding, so apart from some of the design which i do by my self, its very limited to what i can do. I've gotten some tips and help from some guys i know, though.

I have however installed a few mods from the vbulletin.org forum, so i guess if i can do it everyone can, lol.

Firstly i started the site as www.bfplanet.com, but since there are so many better and dedicated sites out there, focusing on the same games (and with my limited news writing skills), i ended up adding the video directory mod and calling it www.bfvideos.net, trying to make it more "unique". Anyways, would love some constructive feedback, only way i can learn

~~ It's not immediately obvious what your forum is about. I'm going to go ahead and assume it's the Battlefield series of games, but nothing about your forum tells me that much. Take out the standard guest message and use the vB Notices feature to add your own guest message that tells visitors what your forum is for, and what they will gain from signing up.

Use an image and link it to your register.php page like I have done here: http://rockpapernuke.com/forums

~~ Edit the 'Powered by vBulletin' line to contain keywords which will help your search engine ranking. Search in phrases for "x_powered_by_vbulletin"

Needs a lot of work. Move annoucements down, get rid of the advertising forum and start getting some real BF related forum in their place. E.G.:

Add quality content to each forum. Keep it updated with news, mods, discussions.

~~ Content. Is King. Your OT forum is a spam haven. Clean it up, or clean it out or close it. You have a niche board yet you have essentially general forums.

There maybe more, but it's late and a long day so far. I hope you take this as constructive. I have given improvement ideas for all areas I feel can be improved.
