Vbulletin censor options...

Some time ago I thought it was possible to have words changed.
Like if a censor would say Chair and somebody would post it then it would appear as C***r.
Ain't that possible?

If you have "hai" listed as a banned word, then it would show up like that. If "chair" is listed, it would show up as *****

What is happening instead? Do you have Censorship Enabled? And note this in the text regarding Censored Words:

You will need to Rebuild the Post Cache after making changes to update existing posts.

I am having a problem with censored words in the chatbox (haven't tested fully in the forum).

For example I am wanting to censor "Hey You"gh and "HeyYou" they "HeyYou" gets censored ****** but "Hey You" doesn't. I have it setup as {Hey You} and heyyou in my censorship options. Can someone help me?

Chatbox? Might want to start looking there. What chatbox are you using?

Its a CYB - Chatbox.

I just tested in the forum and it's doing the same thing.

I will better explain my problem hopefully:

I am trying to block the word MF (I think most everyone knows what I'm talking about)

The way I have it setup in my censorship options is: {bad word} Fword and then Fword with er at the end.

When I type it into the forum (and chatbox) It shows Mother ****er

Try putting the work with er first in the list.

That didn't work either. Same censorship as before.

Then use Replace Variable instead for that word. I'm not sure which gets parsed first - the censorship or the replacement variables, so you may have to figure out if you need to put ****er in the replace variable manager or the actual word.
