FaceoffBoards.com - Hockey Forums
Yes, yet again I've redone it. I've basically taken all the progress we made, and went back to our most popular theme - the original, and combined it all. I've also changed around a lot of navigation, and think that minus a few tweaks this will be where I'm at for a while.
My new focus is on getting members in. Yes, we've pruned some people due to the big spam wave from a few months ago, but I don't think we lost a lot of legitimate members, meaning the fact we have less than 300 members in 13 months kind of concerns me. The fact they make 100+ posts each on average is something I like, but still. :P Anyway, curious as towards peoples opinions. I'd really like to get this to the next level so I'm open on any suggestions you can give me. http://faceoffboards.com/ BTW, for those curious, this is the logo in full (since its mostly used in pieces on the site). |

Header images are WAY too big!!!
Edit the powered by vbulletin phrase. Meta description is ok. But does not seem to make use of targeted keywords very well. Replace the favicon with one of your own. The Eastern and Western conference sections have too many subforums. All of those subforums could be done away with and combied into the parent section. Take a look at your off topic section - its straight forward and simple. Then go back to the conference sections,,,,,, |

One of said images is only there for guests, so its not a huge deal.

GREAT Work. Most of these people here don't run sports forums. Sports forums have a different goal. Take a look at some of the best ones, like ProSportsDaily. They have tons of forums and subforums. Keep it the way it is. The large skin is great. Not the best images, but it can work.
