Heres my situation.............
Say if i have an older version of vbulletin with a customized style & quite a few modifications, what are the steps for upgrading to the latest version? For example: 1. Should i close my board down 1st? 2. should i disable ALL modificationsprior to upgrading? |

1. Yes, you should close your board down. This will prevent locking of tables that are still in use.
2. If the difference between versions is great, uninstall the modification and upgrade with the most up-to-date version provided the version you are upgrading to is meant for the version of vBulletin. In most cases, you can just leave the modification installed and it will either work or don't work. Check with each modification to ensure that there won't be any compatibility issues. |
