Upgrading a heavily customised VBulletin
Hi, I've been given the task of applying 3.8.1 to a VB site which has been heavily customised, and I'm not sure if I should even bother.
Does anyone know off the top of their head how big the change between 3.7.x to 3.8.1 is? Can I justify saying lets not do it? Thanks, Jon |

customized where? style or features/products?
most products are compatible, but if they require file edits, you may have to check every hack and compare with the new files... |

No you can't. There are several cross site scripting request patches that were made. 3.7.x to 3.8.1 shouldn't break any of your mods. Now if it were a big change like 3.5 to 3.8, or 3.7 to 4.0 (which hasn't been released yet), then it might break your mods. However 3.7 to 3.8 shouldn't break anything. Just don't revert any custom templates and you should be fine.
