Installing Mods through AdminCP
Hello. I am the active admin for the forum I run, but I am not the root admin meaning I don't have direct server access. I would like to be able to install modifications without having to bother the root admin all the time to upload the necessary files to the server. I have seen a section for installing mods in the adminCP, but it seems it's limited to PHP scripts as well as XML definitions. Most mods on this site though require image files, etc. to be uploaded to work properly. Is there a way to do this with my current situation? Am I missing something about how mods are installed?
Thank you. |

If you do not have ftp access, then you won't be able to upload any images or files for a modification. You may still install any modification that only requires you to edit templates or just install a Plugin/Product. Just make sure you read the install instructions and if it says "upload to your server..." anywhere in there, then don't install it.
