Does anyone experiencing the member list on Who's online is stayed for so long? I saw members on my who's online section but they are no longer there.
Is there away to fix this? Also, how to move the Who's online on top of forum, below navbar? Thanks. |

The users stay on the list based on the Session Timeout you have set in the Admin CP. What version vB are you running? If version 3.7.4, there is a bug that makes it show differently on the index page and the online page. Check the Bug Reports on vb.com for the fix.

the Session Timeout is set to 900 by default, that means 15 minutes... some a visitor will stick in the WOL for 15 minutes after its last action. you can cut this value to lower, counting 60 for a minute... i personally set it to 90 seconds because i have a high activity range on my forums and i want people to really show only if they are online...
some sites have it set to way higher, like 12 hours (43200) so the site looks full of members online, but this is not good for the database neither for the real stats. |

Note that editing the value also effects how long your Admin CP session lasts.
