Close registrations: Auto generate usernames with email address

Hi,

I am sure that I has been asked before but I had a problem to find the thread to get my answer. So I am sorry for opening a new thread to ask this question.

I am running a support forums where I do provide support for my clients. Any chance to disable user registrations and do it this way so; I will enter the email of person that I want him to be a member of forums, and system will auto generate a user name+password and email it to address that was entered?

Not that im aware of, you will have to have that custom coded.

If you have two seperate user systems, you may want to bridge them so when they are reg'd out side the vb, it sets them up an account in vb as well.

You could disable registrations and just add the new users yourself from the AdminCP.
