Many members of my forum are not from the US and therefore many videos we like to share get blocked.
So I did the same thing you want to do. What you need is a video hosting script. Believe it or not, the best and most reliable ones are free. I am currently running a German video script called OStube. I love it -> http://bayuno.com/ However I would also recommend clip-bucket.com because their script offers several add-ons one of which is a youtube grabber!! it will automatically rip the video from you tube as well as let users normally upload videos. clip-bucket also publicly released plans on future integration into vb. They all also offer the embedding feature. I have tried a lot of video scripts, they are all good. some are just more advanced with others. Just please note that you cannot just install and go, you will need a dedicated server and on that server you will need special software so that the videos work properly. There are several "video-optimized" shared hosts out there, which I would stay away from at all costs, unless you want an oversold laggy box. but vBulletin is definitally the way to go, I never had a complaint ![]() |
