I have had a number of members try to register with different email addresses eg
hotmail.com ntlworld.com btinternet.com msn.com and every time it informs them that their email address is banned, although it shouldn't be. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Regards Mike Currently running version 3.6.7 |

We've used that area to ban .ru email addresses and one or two others, but we haven't included the email addresses in the first post or so we thought.
Just been in and checked the settings. One of the email addresses we tried to ban had a space in between @ and gmail.org. We've also got aggressive email banning set to yes. Would this space have blocked every email address with @ in it ????????? Regards Mike |

Yes, it would have.
That's why i tell everyone to use one line for each listing, dont use spaces. ie... @mail.ru @hotmail.com @gmail.com Not: @mail.ru @hotmail.com @gmail.com <-- too easy to miss a mistake if u make one. |

Thanks for clearing that up.
I'll make sure I use one line in future. Regards Mike |
