People using Proxy IP's
Their are people trying to join my forum, with proxy IP's.
Are proxy IP's considered bad?:erm: To me they are bad because I think the people are trying to hide who the really are.... Is their a way to prevent people like that even being able to join my forum? I trace the IP's and they always end up in like foreign country, like china or some weird one. Thanks for the input |

Many people at work, school or public places use a proxy to access the internet. While there are illegitimate uses, there are also legitimate uses.

well considering many publick systems uses proxy, including schools, workplaces, and
many many more. if you block proxy you just block all those aswell, and i dont belive you should consider proxy's worse than any other ip. and proxy ip's are often "not static", and those are often used unwanted purposes. but so does many isp's im using a non static email, through my ISP's proxy so you would also block me if you blocked all proxy's well no danger there, haha but you get the general idea. its a matter of opinion. |
