Right now you don't see anything> how do I allow them to see how many people are on?

That permission is one of the usergroup permissions. Edit this usergroup, and change the "Who's Online" permissions.

** That wasn't the one. Maybe I didn't explain it properly. I mean "Currently Active users" in the main forum, and it shows members and guests, and will list all members online.

vboptions > forum home page options > display logged in users > yes, to all visitors
