Moderator Forum
I'm sorry if this has been posted somewhere else but I haven't been able to find the answer. I want to set up a moderator forum that only the mods can see so we can be in contact without having to PM each other. I am sure the answer is simple and I'm missing it, LOL. I have vb 3.7.0.
Thank you! |

Make a forum, then add permissions so only admins and mods can see it?

Create the forum. Then go to Forum Permissions and select Deny All next to that forum. Then only add permissions for the usergroups you wish to view it.

Awesome! Thank you both!
--------------- Added [DATE]1233601387[/DATE] at [TIME]1233601387[/TIME] --------------- Quick question: I set it up so moderators can view it but I have a person who is just a mod for one forum I don't want her to see it. Will she see it even if she is only a mod for one forum and not for the whole board? Thanks! |

Moderators for the whole board should be placed into the "Super Moderators" usergroup. Moderators that are moderators of one forum (or a few) should be placed into "Moderators" (and should be added via the Forum Manager).
You can deny all access to the staff forum for the "Moderators" usergroup, assuming you structure it as above. |

Also, if you have just one person from a usergroup that you don't want to see it (but you want everyone else from that usergroup to see it), use Access Masks to deny access (or deny access to the usergroup and use Access Masks to allow access).
