Forgot how to redirect validating members to certain usergroup?!
I somehow forgot where in the admin cp to direct the validating members to which specific usergroup. Where do I change this?
Right now, once a validating member validates their membership, they are sent to the "Members" usergroup. Now, I want the validating member to go to a "limited membership" usergroup that I have set up that will limit the users access on the forums. Once they pay the monthly/yearly fee, they will be upgraded to the current and fully functional "Members" usergroup. Where can I change the default usergroup after they validate their membership? Thanks! |

All users, after they validate their email address, are put into the Registered Users usergroup. This is coded into vB and can't/shouldn't be changed. You can create a promotion (AdminCP > Usergroups > Promotions) to move them from Registered Users to your "Members" usergroup based on several criteria.

Thanks fro answering.
So, move all current users in the "Members" usergroup to a NEW usergroup (ie...Premium Members), and change the permissions in the default "Members" usergroup to limited access and features, right? Then, when the new users in the "Members" usergroup pay (via the paid subscriptions), they will automatically be moved to the Premium Members until their subscription runs out? Thanks again! |

Yes.
Although, I don't know where you picked up the "Members" usergroup. The usergroup that users automatically go into is "Registered Users". |
