might try the pass protection as well

I dont know yet. I wasn't really hacked on vB.

They put an image that said "You have been hacked, blah, blah, blah"
And we re-installed the vB files and it worked.

So you are going to wait until somebody does hack you through the admin cp before you think about protecting it? It's such a simple thing to do.

Well, I know all of you are giving me good tips, but does anyone have good ones to protect your cPanel and Server?

If they hacked you on the server level, there is nothing much you can do. You need to talk to your host about this.

Well, we changed the cPanel password and they haven't gotten in.
