Returning to 1st page of Posts after Posting Reply... HELP??

My installation of vBulletin (3.7 patch level 1) is returning to the first post in a very long thread instead of the last post when people are replying.

So, they hit reply at the bottom of the screen, enter their post, submit it, and vBulletin puts them up to the very first post in the thread. Quite annoying.

Where is the option to change this so that it goes back to the last post in the thread, like this website does?

As far as I know, that isn't an option. Perhaps you have a modification installed that is causing this. Try disabling your plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

Actually, Lynne, it's strange... I have only seen this happen on my board. I have a new vB install with nothing else (except vBSEO) installed. No plugins at all. I'm running an "out of the box" board.

Say you have a thread that takes up 4 pages with a lot of responses....

When I'm on page 4 and hit "reply", putting up a new post, after my new post is added, I'm immediately returned to page 1, first post of the thread.

I think I should be returned to my post on page 4...

Make sense? (I think I may not have explained it clearly enough)

Is this happening when you use the Quick Reply or Post Reply or both? Have you searched the vbseo forums to see if this issue has been brought up there? I'm guessing a link is off due to vbseo and so you get thrown to the first page of the thread.

Oooh! Good thinking, Lynne.

I will get to the bottom of this (by turning off plugins and also through vBSEO's help forum), then post the answer here in case anyone else has this issue.
