Anyway. regarding plastic surgery procedures turning into disastrous ops , it's quite common (esp in the eastern european countries) of plastic surgery turn bad. I watched a documentary about a woman receiving a tummy tuck and her stomach looked a state. So much so she would go to bed fully clothed and all because she wanted to save a few extra pennies.

The ironic thing was, she looked great before the operation and now she won't go out or do anything and lives a housebound existence.

A colleague of mine found out her husband was cheating on her so she did all the plastic surgery stuff thinking it was her fault. She took a few weeks off for a tummy tuck, came back to the office to pick up her paycheck, (with her husband and daughters), walked out of the office and died a few minutes later-as she was walking back to her car. I never figured out my she wanted surgery as she was this tall, very good looking blonde, great body but she just thought if she had a tummy tuck and boob job, it would some how save her marriage and make her husband stop cheating on her. Sad eh?

All in all, surgeries are dangerous. And most are dangerous because of the anesthesia.
One might not wake up from one... allergies are most common in such cases.

Eventually, my broken nose could use some fixing. I have a hard time breathing through it, and I snore like a family of bears because of it. That would be the extent that I would go in my current state.

You're right most of the time implants are gross except for ca cases but Pamela Anderson- ewwwww.. so gross and why? I've been very blessed but they get in the way a lot, I can't run and are they are way to cumbersome so I cannot fathom why a woman would pay for these? Why would any woman want such large ones? I don't get it.

Do you know that men who go for the largest size testicular implants they usually have them downsized because they are to uncomfortable. I know a little info you could live without. LOL Just a silly tidbit of info.

I personally like natural breasts... Some say that implants are the same as real.
I can assure them that the feeling of touching one is no way near as pleasant.
Though my girl has quite a decent set of real ones, i wouldn't say no to a couple of sizes less.
Don't get me wrong, i'm 100% straight but real big boobs aren't that much fun.

However, there ARE women that are complexed because they have small breast.
This only happens because of men always want the biggest. No, biggest isn't always best.
Women like this should think a lot before getting their boobs done just for some guy.
Ladies, there's a Romanian saying that sounds like this: "There's fish in the pond".
Meaning that the world won't run out of men.
Maybe it will run out of shallow ones but that's not a bad thing.

I understand they are a great self-esteem booster for women who had to undergo corrective surgery for Breast Cancer. They can serve a legitimate place in society. Maybe not as worthwhile for prosthetics after losing a leg or arm but they can help some people lead fuller lives.

Isn't kind of weird because breasts actually serve a purchase post gestation but I wonder when down the line, they became such a sexual object? Look at some of the ancient Greek scenes depicting the saga of sex, you will see a man's hand on a woman's breast. So I guess even back then breasts were something sexual, albeit less than it is now of course.

We can't blame either sex for this. The enormous obsession with breast size is perpetuated by both men and women and I think plastic surgery has quite successfully cashed in on this obsession. Too bad we don't spend that kind of money finding a cure for cancer.

Have you watched some of this Plastic Surgery shows on TV, some of these doctors are as nutty as some of the patients. They don't know when to say no and seem to be obsessed with becoming a celebrity rather than a healthcare provider.

I've lived in the UK, Germany and Scotland and I don't remember such an obsession with breast size as I do in the U.S. Although I was a young adult then and probably didn't notice it as much as I do now.

I just read somewhere that plastic surgeons are being financially affected by the economy. Ah, poor babies! Not!

When man started walking upright, wearing clothes and interacting face to face. There have been quite a few anthropological studies on this very issue. Most mammels display their eagerness to mate through their buttocks and surrounding tissue. Through evolution, mankind denied itself that cue so it developed new ones.
