Posters are automatically logged in - can't be
Hi
To my horror I discovered that newly registered members are automatically logged in - I must have done something wrong. The weirdest of all, they do receive that email notification vbulletin automatically sends them. But apparently it isn't necessary for them to click on the link.... they are already logged in automatically. And not only that, they can actually login even though "User Regsitration" is set to "NO" for the time being. And when they log out, I am told when they return to the forum after another 30 minutes or so using the same computer, they find out that they are still logged in even though they had a confirmation that they had already logged out. Anyone know. |

I'm not sure I understand your entire post but to answer the first couple points...
Check vBulletin Options > User Registration Options > Moderate New Members > Yes and vBulletin Options > User Registration Options > Verify Email address in Registration > Yes As for being able to log in when registration is turned off... That's not what turning registration off does. It means that current members can still log in but that new members may not join your site. There's a difference between logging in and joining. |
