RE this statement: "Women of this forum are trying to turn this place into a OffTopic community... ARGH"


I just realized something...... until I stirred up the feminine pot in the "Community" section of vbulletin.org, most, OH I would say up to 90% of the post made to the "Community" section, were made by men! No biggy, I love it. Anyhow....

So how does adding a little female fun to the "Community" forum become suddenly 'OffTopic" when the majority of threads previously posted were from men?

So if it comes from a female, it's off topic? From a male it isn't?

Off topic IS off topic when it comes to technical forums but in the community section, what really constitutes "off topic" (other than obvious TOS violations) AND how have you seperated off topic by gender, especially in this particular forum?.. Just curious..

nah, it's not about women's role in the topics posted, but the latest subjects in the Lounge...

i can say that at least 25% of the new threads here in the last year were moved or closed because related to vBulletin in a way or another... guys can't understand what is written in the forum description.

and then, the other topics posted by men... another 25% is about web details, politics and beliefs... rarely the topic is discussed in more than 3 pages... see on page 10 or 20 of this forum, you will see

so yes, you help a lot to make this forum become a real Lounge, what is great..

I'm not into overclocking cpus/gpus though I did once upon a time using a peltier unit. I prefer stabilty. Anyway, Freezing my graphic card would be pointless because I don't play these high end games and use my pc primarly for photoshop and web browsing. I've seen it all though many years ago. Nothing shocks me. Been there, done that etc etc.

I'm not into overclocking either but I find all the tech stuff fascinating (though I'd never do it myself) I saw that vid about a month ago and just thought it was cool to see a woman doing it for once.

Oh and my ETA about not having any coredumps was aimed at Marco. LOL
