Help Needed - Forum Has Gone Down...
Hi Guys,
I would certainly appreciate your help here. I just tried to add a certain"Seasons" extra to my forum, and it has just gone off. all I can see is a plain white screen). :_| I un-installed everything and put the two template "add on's" back to the way there were originally, but I still only see a white screen and no forum. Can anyone help me to get my forum back on please? I would appreciate it. Many Thanks. |

Hello Lynne - Thanks for your reply - I will try that.
Just a thought, But I have just received an Email to confirm a member has just registered. Also, I have just Text a mod of my forum, and he said it is active and he is actually logged in. So it is definately just ME that can't view it. Any suggestions Please? Many Thanks. --------------- Added [DATE]1230056649[/DATE] at [TIME]1230056649[/TIME] --------------- Quote:
Thanks for your help. As posted in post above... I believe that I am the only one that can't see the forum. Your thoughts and help on that would be appreciated. |

Clear your browser cache and cookies for the site. Then see if you can see the site.

I have checked on google too and when I click on the link - I still get a plain white screen. It appears that I can get on my site when I type in "index.php" on the end of of address and forward slash. It was never like this before. As I say - It is like it through Google, My Favourites, and I even have a "Add to Bookmark" on my forum and it is the same there. I haven't a clue what is happening as I say - it appears that it is only happening to me. |

That sounds like a server issue, but I can't imagine what was done to cause that problem. Did you accidentally delete a file you shouldn't have? Or add a file? Do you have an index.html page also in your forum?

Hi Lynne, All I did was to add the "Product" and .php, and Edit the Forum Home and Header as instructed. I did the reverse of this to un-install it all. --------------- Added [DATE]1230060958[/DATE] at [TIME]1230060958[/TIME] --------------- Job Done. If you come across this.... just add DirectoryIndex to your .htaccess file (If you haven't got one - create one and add this to it) after the "DirectoryIndex" leave a space and add the position you want the user to go to. In my case - I have added index.php. With help from vBulletin.com - I have done it. Thanks to you for your input too. Merry Christmas. |
