Deleting threads or posts problem.

Well I was selecting certain threads/posts made by a certain user and selecting all, on the right sound of the page. I know there is a 400 delete limit. So I met that, and went to click delete, then it goes to the next page where it gives you the option to soft delete > keep attachments, or the option below to perma delete and the box to enter why your'e deleting.

Well I choose to soft delete, and the entered why, click delete and the screen goes immediately to a internet explorer page not found error!!?!?

Any ideas? I hit the back back and it's still there, hit back again and all the posts/threads are still selected, try again and give me the ie crash!!

Did you look at the url in the browser and see if that was a valid page?

Hmm, there could be lots of problems here.

You could be trying to delete more then the MySQL server can handle, try deleting 10-15 to test it to see if you get the same error.

if the server has mod_security installed it could be conflicting.

The moderation templates may need reverted (rare)

The page bombs out if you select more than 275 threads/posts at a time, Anything from 275 and down you're ok. But 276 and up it crashes to page cannot be displayed.

This is on 3.8.0 rc 1

Even when selecting 275 and choosing soft delete, entering the reason why, then clicking delete posts, it "appears" to be removing them. The when it goes back to all the users posts, it still shows all 500 posts of his!

oh I tried deleted 1 and it still shows all 500.

ok DUH, forgot the part about it "appears" to be deleting but still show. DUH, I used SOFT delete and not perma delete. And since I'm admin I can still see them, lol. Wow brain is fried tonight, maybe I need to get off here and go relax. All 500 posts show I have deleted them.
