less people using vb?

I think its because of the following reasons:
1. The quality of the mods has dropped significantly (or is it my idea? Don't shoot)
2. Less people create new forums, as they prefer other types of sites. Forums close every day, so the amount of people having a forum at any given time is dropping.
3. vBulletin (and some other forum software brands, but that's not our topic) looks very old-fashioned compared to other web apps.

I simply don't understand why Deviant Art's Forums are sooo better and civil

I think this is true for all coders. do you have the feeling that vb has less customers too nowadays? at least customers who use mods.

hows the vb coders crew customer numbers, did you see a drop?

My forum was hacked twice, both times thank to some nice & candy coloured mod. As far as I know there were scripts available on the net for scriptkiddies to break into each vB installation containing specific mod.
If you posted "thanks" inside the mod thread, the visit of scriptkiddies was guaranteed.

So I don't install mods which allow entering text / attachments.
Actually I don't install any new mods anymore... Interesting how many other vB users share same experiences with me.

Hi everyone
I have used VB since 3.6.3 version, and run on 3.7.3 now, soon 3.7.4 when I get time.

From the start to now, I download little moods. What I download get tested, not always though, but most get tested. Most of them ending up disabled, or removed completely.

Right now I have 10 mods installed, but normally I use 5 mods only, and those have been the same since I purchased my first license.

I do appreciate all those people who make modds, but for me it have been the skin who have been most important, not the modds. That may change in the future though.

Just wanted to give feedback, since those who make all the modds ask why we don't use them so much.
