Bugs, especially maggots and spiders and others with lots of legs; heights/falling; escalators; anxiety over going places alone, although I don't consider it a phobia, some might. I used to be terrified of needles, but I got over it.
I have a phobia of gaining a debilitating phobia of one thing or another... On the plus side, this always made me work through my fears as a child.
Actually if I had an overwhelming fear of something, it would be going blind. Not sure that is a phobia but I can't handle not seeing. I can do blindfolds for very short periods of time but that is it.
Man! incredible... I thought this morning to post this thread, but I felt it was a stupid topic*, but anyways...
This was my whole point for creating a forum for people with phobias because the amount of people that (no pun intended) are afraid to discuss their phobias is pretty shocking.

I'm not quite getting the description for a fear of heights but I sympathise as although it doesn't affect my life I still hate heights.
Ok, when pigs are placed in a transparent glass a few feet above the floor, the don't understand the 'depth' concept and react adversely...
and the other day I saw a Possum in central L.A.! and my system reacted in 1 sec... but as I said, I just have to remember that man are more dangerous than any other animal...
