It's MY thread!
In one of the sub-forums on my site I'd like to set up something so that when someone opens a thread THEY are the ONLY PERSON who is subsequently allowed to reply to it, as if it's their own thread.
Then they basically keep replying to themselves whenever they want.. does that make sense? No one else is able to interupt or reply to a thread unless it's their own one. I've done a forum search here but can't find anything - help appreciated  Thanks a lot James. |

I think it may be > Forum Permissions > select the forum and each usergroup to edit (just Deny All first and then only select the primary usergroups to edit) > Can Post Threads > Yes, Can Reply to Own Threads > Yes, Can Reply to Others' Threads > No (and set other permissions as needed)
(I've never tried this in a forum, but it sounds right). |

I have a few forums setup this way, it's a great way to get one on one help threads and you don't have to worry about anyone else reading them.

If you don't want others to read each others threads, then you also have to set Can View Others' Threads to No (It wasn't clear if the OP also wanted that so I didn't mention that option).
