How do I do this in vBulletin?

1 - you probably have cellspacing or cellpadding in that table. Find the template and reduce that number. To find the template - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code.

Thanks!
but the height is defined by this code: "<if condition="$show['subforums']"> <div class="smallfont" style="margin-top:$stylevar[cellpadding]px"> <strong> $ vbphrase [subforums] </ strong>: $ forum [subforums] </ div> </ if> " How do I change it? Any answer to my second question? |

You can either change the stylevar cellpadding (style manager > find your style > select stylevars from the dropdown) or edit the template directly.
