when you click reply on my forums to a thread it will come up on the usual post box. however there is something that is on there that has boggled my mind for awhile and since i upgraded recently im trying to go through and clean up my forums. anyways there is a place where it is supposed to have a thumb.gif and the image doesnt exist so it says "Wrap [Thumb] tags around selected text". well i know what it does but the problem is it is linking to our old site and i am trying to figure out how to change this and i dont know what template piece or file i need to look into to locate it. its basically right next to the php button like the one this is on the reply here. any help in located this would be great.
also instead of posting another thread it kind of deals in the same area. for some reason if i click on create thread compared to reply to thread everything on the pages is the same except for the box that is around where my text goes (that encompasses the smilies and all the buttons and such) is inexplicably smaller on the reply to thread part which makes the smilie box and such jut out on the edge. and finally, is there a mod or template edit available that puts the smilies below the post thread/reply to thread text box instead of to the side? |

It sounds like bbcode. So, look in your bbcode manager for that code. If that isn't it, do a Search in Templates for "thumb" or something else unique about that piece of code.
Number two... it sounds like a template isn't correct. Find the template (vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code) and then if it's in red, go to edit it, hit View History > Compare and see what the differences are between your template and the default Jelsoft one and upgrade yours with the correct code. Yes, search "smilies" "all mods" "titles only" and you'll find it. |

1 - It was BBcode and thanks for that one.
2 - I looked and the template that I found editted was editor_toolbar_on however the main thing that was editted was post vid clip icon. I reverted to the regular settings on the default however I see some issues. For some reason the Post New Thread box is still bigger. I got the Post Reply box to all go around the smilies and such but now I don't have the post a clip icon. It would work with my Post New Thread, but the box was to small on Post Reply. Also my Post Icons below the message box is a smaller box on the Post Reply box compared to Post New Thread Box. So somewhere I have a feeling that either a width is set incorrectly or there is a table set up that is wrong. However I don't even know where to start with that. 3 - I will have to look into it more. If I can get them below it and everything fits in the box with the video link then I will probably just call it good. |

2 - It's really a matter of comparing the page source around that part of the code. You need to find that area in the page source for each page and then see what the differences are.

Thanks for the help. At the moment I just moved the smilies below and installed the auto embedder (AME) and that fixed the issue of hanging over the edge so for now I won't worry about it to much.
