You need to look in the external.php page for the places it defines the channel. For instance, around line 464:

You may modify those lines (they are in there a couple of times). It looks like $rsstitle is defined a little above there:

So you may modify it there.

I didn't look very hard in the file, so you'll have to just look for things like that in there and change them. At first glance, I don't see a hook location that you can plugin to in order to change them.
