TfSEO 2.1

TfSEO is a powerful and free url rewrite for the vBulletin system: it rewrite forum, thread and post urls.
For me it's very hard to explain well all the feature of this plugin, soo the best way is test it.

How much does it weight on the server?

I have tested on my home server:
TfSEO enabled, heavy:
Code:
[root@hserver ~]# ab -n 100 http://hserver/tfseo_1/main-forum-f2/dsadas-t4

Hi,

Where can I find installation instructions for this? I looked at the read me and all it says is:

"Than hurry up: upload the files, set-up the .htaccess file (else if you are not using a dedicated server), enable the product and enjoy."

I need a bit more instruction than above.

Thanks

Bug:
If viewing a post and you refresh to a database error, the image for the DB error no longer appears.

Feature Requests:
  • A member rewrite.
  • I like the archive pages being simple. Is there a way to keep them simple and still have the SEO within the archive pages?

I found a BUG with ur mod.

I use coppermine for vb.

I uploaded files to my coppermine gallery and this happened:

Code:
http://www.alizee-forum.com/gallery/albums/tv_interviews_2007-11-25-tf1fanmeeting/emou4.jpg
>> this url didnt work although its actually there, and redirected to forum said this url wasnt correct, please contact admin.

Then I renamed it to
Code:
http://www.alizee-forum.com/gallery/albums/tv_interviews_2007-11-25/emou4.jpg
and it worked!

I was very confused and removed ur Rewrite in htaccess and then both urls worked fine.

Then I removed ur htaccess rewrite code:
Code:
RewriteRule ^(.*)t([0-9]+)(.*)newpost(.*)$ showthread.php?t=$2&goto=newpost [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)f(.*)/(.*)t([0-9]+)(.*)/post([0-9]+)(.*)$ showpost.php?p=$6 [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)f(.*)/(.*)t([0-9]+)(.*)/([a-z]+)([0-9]+)(.*)$ showthread.php?t=$4&page=$7 [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)f(.*)/(.*)t([0-9]+)(.*)$ showthread.php?t=$4 [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)f([0-9]+)/([a-z]+)([0-9]+)(.*)$ forumdisplay.php?f=$2&page=$4 [QSA,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)f([0-9]+)(.*)$ forumdisplay.php?f=$2 [QSA,L]
And then it worked...

How can that be?

I have installed TfSEO and it works perfectly. However, I ran into a problem when running my sitemap generation application.

It appears the app (KeyLimeTie Sitemap Generator) incorrectly forms the URL relative to the base href. While technically a base href URI can pretty much be whatever you want according to w3.org, it seems that the code in this application does not expect a trailing slash. Likewise it expects a prepended slash for the relative URI's in the href tags. (OK, what did I expect for an app based on MS scripting for MSIE?) As a result, the app prepends the URL of the current page to the relative URL, generating loops until it runs (mercifully) out of memory.

I had never run into this problem before with other sites which use a base href and extensive modRewrites since I always structured the sites in a way that the app could properly parse, perhaps by dumb luck.

Are there any easy hacks I can make to resolve this problem or should I just invest in a new sitemap generator?

TIA
