Slow user maintenance option

I am updating user titles and need to update the users in the maintanance area...

I click to update the users and its SLOW!!!!! holy cow, is it ever slow. Hours later, it's only gone through like 200 users... and my forum has almost 2000 users. Updating forum or thread information is very fast, as everything else is, except its SLOWWWW for the users.

Any ideas? I've tried upgrading vBulletin, running repairs on the database, optimizing, changing my MySQL packet size to 16 instead of 1... maximum upload size for php...

Did you try globally disabling all hacks and rerunning the update script?

Even though you upgraded vbulletin, sometimes simply over writing files dont achive the desired effect and sometimes can cause corruption, when file corruption already existed, i would suggest at this point seeing as you've done the basics, either nuke all the vbulletin files and reupload them or create a new folder, upload the vbulletin files again and then make the switch by changing the names of the new and old folder.

Then try a user update.

I was experiencing this issue before upgrading.

I'll try disabling what I have and rerunning the upgrade.php file.
