I have a need to set which usergroups a user is a member of from outside of vB.

Though I have read the Data Manager information for updating a user record, I have not found any way other than querying the database directly to get a list of all of the usergroups available.

Is this supported through a Data Manager and I'm simply not finding it, or is direct database access required?

Data Managers are used to update/insert/delete data, not for retrieving.

It is not a VB3 engine, just a parsed copy!
