Thing is - its not clear what forum the reported posts are from...

So everyone has to read everyone elses messages..

Is there a way around that?

Reported post from "FORUM TITLE HERE"

I suppose its not TOO much work, there are on average 10 reported posts per day - sometimes more..

Especially if you have a Forum for which you all talk in, just make a Sub-Forum 'Issues & Infractions' or something.

And have all posts that are reported / infractions sent there. No need to fill up either yours, or theirs inbox, yet all of you can still view it all (or whoever you want to view the issues)

(my post was to Lynnes, was postin at the same time i think lol)

If that's the case, I'd go with different titles, instead of Super Mod - maybe Levels of Mods

New Moderator (1-2 boards)
Moderator(busier boards)
Forum Moderator (moderates a particular forum)
Veteran Moderator (soft delete like u were talking about)
Lead Moderators (the ones you trust more, and can hard delete)

Just some examples so you can keep it organized and not worry about which one is in which group, it'd be labeled and that way you can be detailed on what each group gets, and put the in accordingly
I like that.. good suggestion thanks

Change your "reportpost_thread" phrase and put the forumtitle in there:

HTML Code:
Reported Post by $reportinfo[rusername] - $reportinfo[forumtitle]

Would that hack - 'auto insert' the forum titles from all for me?

Or would I have to manually enter in each forum title one by one?

MANY THANKS!

Changing the phrase as I suggested would add the name of the forum into the title of the thread created for the Reported Post. So, if you have a forum called Forum A and usernameb reports the post, the thread title would be "Reported Post by usernameb - Forum A"

Basically adding in the Title of the Forum for you, when each post is Reported (so you dont need that Mod/Hack)

Ahh great!

This would be nicer than emails for the moderation group I think.

(although I find them handy to work through)

Thats great!

I have that running now. And I have switched off email notices (as an experiment)

At the moment I have:

A lot of moderators assigned to the busy forums (but I think this is messy looking)

I think I will try upgrading them to Super Moderators and making most able to Soft Delete only and no mass move mass prune etc. Then make a select few that I really trust to be fair to able to hard delete.

Then I will allow moderators to hard delete in their own forums only (and remove all the 'extra' moderators I added to those busy forums) And perhaps restore reported posts emails

Hopefully a moderator can hard delete as well as have a Super Moderator status that can only Soft delete (I will report back)

Any ideas - please put them forward!

A question - what should I do with my reported posts forum

Delete posts after they have been 'processed' ?
Lock threads after they have been processed ?

At the moment its not clear who had done what - I want to make the action as SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE as I am wary of making more work for my mods.
(I day dream that a hack to make the thread disappear after it was read might be handy...?)

I bet you folks have suggestions, this has been great - many thanks!

Are you getting many spam? You should prolly use this hack I found.. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...highlight=Spam

It may help you. If you don't want many Moderators.
