Surely there is a way to allow Super Moderators to edit users? Is there any piece of code I can change to stop the user profiles being only read only to my super moderators?
The super moderators on my forum are more than super moderators really, and need this ability to go about their duties. I realise giving them admincp access and aletering their admin permissions would give them this ability, but i would also give them other abilities I don't want them to have. Any ideas from anoyone on how to do this? |

i'm interested in this as well, i recently had to do what you had already said with adding them to admin and taking away permissions, but they still show up on the forum leaders page as an admin when they have no say to what goes on with the site.

You could use the 'log in as user' mod. Then they could easily log in as the user and edit the user's details via the usercp.

i couldn't get that mod to work, but i'd rather not go that route, i have mine setup so that there is an info box that only admins can edit, this box is used for music battles won. if it wasn't this way anyone could just enter any number they wanted to in the box. i haven't found anything that would update this number automatically, so it's gotta be done manually via the acp. i've only set it up so one supermod has the permissions to edit users to help with this, but would be great if i didn't have to have them in an admin group as well.

^ I have the same setup for roleplay battles. Surely there's just some code that needs editing to allow the super moderator to save the profile.
