New member email - send on activation instead of initiation?
Currently on my system, the new member notification email is sent the instant the user submits the initial registration information. Since we use email authentication on our board, I really don't want to receive these until the user has activated his registration.
Is there any way to alter this so it is sent when the registration is activated instead of when it is initiated? Edit: I'm talking about the email sent to a chosen email address to notify that a new user has registered, NOT an email sent to the new registrant. |

I'm interested in this function as well.
I require email activation before someone can post. As the administrator, getting an email that someone has registered, but hasn't clicked on the email activation, is a waste of time. I get an email that someone has registered, but when I go to check for new users in the CP, there is nothing there... As many of my registrations are spammers with bogus email addresses, or automated bots, they'll never activate their membership. I appreciate any help on this issue... |
