Hi,
I just want to ask . What is the general rules of editing someone's mod. You see I've upgraded a hack into 3.7.2 and sent it to the developer but he didn't reply. I know he maybe busy but if I contenue like this , it would take me forever to get the job done. I'm asking this because I may do more upgrades to existing old mods or add features. Thanks |

Sorry I don't really understand your problem...
If you edit a mod you can use it yourself. But you cannot redistribute unless the author has given you permission to do so. |

I don't mean that I'll sell it.
I mean I want to publish it on vBulletin.org immediately after I finish editing or upgrading it (Credits for the original developer will of course be given) |

As far as I am aware, you need express written permission from the author to be able to do that. He may be working on a mod himself.

You can not release it on vB.org (ie. distribute it) without the permission of the original author.
