I've found many great mods that I've added over time, but I'm sure as it adds on, it will slow down the performance of the server and slow down page loads.
I'm looking to see how many mods to folks here have installed on their boards. I realize that different mods will add more load time than others, and they all do different functions, but still interested to see what an average number is. Those that run several boards, just pick a good average one. Has anyone used any sort of metric to measure how much load time is added as a mod is installed? My forum has approx 1,300 users with an average of 30 users on at anytime. |

Mods don't necessarily slow a forum down. Many are only used in certain places. e.g. My shoutbox only appears on forumhome; nobody sees it as they're browsing posts.
