Image cashing

Hi,
I saw once in forum a cool thing which is storing and picture you pasted from an external uploading site and when you delete the picture from the uploading site, your thread still display the pictures as I checked the link it was stored in cash folder inside the forum itself.
I tried to find such hack here but no luck.

Any idea where I can find it? my forum is 3.8.6
