Hack Support
This hack is now discontinued - this means that while it will remain available for download and use, there will be no further updates, nor will support be provided as the thread is no longer monitored. You can now check out the 3.8.x version of this hack, as it also works with v3.7.4 PL1, v3.6.12 (and maybe even earlier versions).
Please click Mark as Installed if you are using this hack.
vBulletin Version Compatibility
This hack can be used with v3.6.10 and v3.7.x. This has not been tested with earlier versions of v3.6.x, but should work.
What Does This Hack Do?
This is a simple hack adds extra options on the Search drop down list on the navbar which allows your members to search for their own posts and threads start by themselves.
There are no file or template changes at all, and is fully phrased.
This was a request by odeezie in post #22 of this thread.
Installation Instructions
Import ms_view_own_posts_threads.xml into vB using the AdminCP Product Manager. If upgrading then set Allow Overwrite to Yes.
In the AdminCP, select vBulletin Options > View Your Posts/Threads from Navbar Search, enter the usergroups that you want to see the extra link.
Uninstall Instructions
Uninstall the product in vB using the AdminCP Product Manager.

I just installed on my board but i cant see it working
Mine is a 3.7.0
After you import the product it should just work straight out of the box, as all usergroups are now allowed by default, and if you want to limit which usergroups see the links then you have to change the options.
The only other way it would not work is if you are using a custom style and the template hooks which are needed for this hack to work are not there.
Cool, but why does it keep logging me out? All these custom hacks, when used..work, but when the screen loads it doesn't show me as logged in anymore!
Well, that has absolutely nothing to do with this hack, as it has nothing to do with the login/logout functions of the forum. It sounds like your session info is not carrying from page to page.
Update: v3.7.004 - Saturday 26th July 2008
-- Changed: Removed dependency, now works with v3.6.10
NOTE: If already installed on v3.7.x, then there is no need to update to this version, as there are no functional changes. This is only for new installations, it now caters for v3.6.10 as well as v3.7.x.
Mosh,
I realize this is not your fault, but I was wondering, what would you suggest doing if the style I am using now isn't showing the hack. I.e., on the navbar, it does not support the "drop down", thus the user cannot see this hack. Search.php is just the basic 'ol search, too. Anyway it can be shown?

Thanks.
It depends on a template hook that is available in a v3.7.x and v3.6.10 compatible styles, so if it is not there, it will not work. You can always look at the hack in a text editor and add the hook to the template manually. Before you ask, I will not help you with that (I am just giving you a pointer), as it I only support my hacks in their un-altered form (your custom style does not would seem to have those, as it seems that those template hooks have been removed) and even then, I will only provide support people who mark my hacks as installed.
