Ask your host to install it.

Compile php with freetype support. That's the TTF support for custom fonts.
Are you sure GD is in PHP too? |

Again, ask your host.
You cannot compile PHP yourself if you are on shared hosting. On VPS/dedicated, you will need to connect to the server (usually via SSH) and run commands to recompile PHP. |

As Dis said, pass this info to your host. I've never heard of a host not doing when requested.

Here is an email they sent me
Thank you for contacting Online Support. Upon further review, it appears that Freetype 2 is already installed on our Shared Hosting servers. You would need to ensure that you are referencing the correct path for your Freetype 2 application. The path is as follows: /usr/local/include/freetype2/ If this is something that you need to specifically install on a server of your own, then you may consider a Dedicated Hosting Server. Unlike normal hosting plans, which put many customers' accounts on a single server, a Dedicated Hosting Server is reserved exclusively for the account and usage of a single customer. This means that the Dedicated Hosting Server customer has exclusive rights to the server's bandwidth, memory and storage space; performance will not be affected by traffic and usage patters of other customers. Since it is already installed on my server, how do I get this to work? |

Please start your own threads, makes it easier.
Please post a link to a phpinfo.php page so we can view your server info, which comes with your vb download. If you dont want it public, htaccess protect the page and send one of us the login info via pm so we can then view it and tell you if its setup right. |
