I'm wanting to convert my site into half forums and half stories, but like the idea of making it so vbulliten runs the whole show. So I'm wanting to know if it's possible to make a link in certain forums that will go to post form and will be added into one main forum that isn't viewable to anyone but mods so the mods can take the suggested stories and move them to the correct categories.

I believe this is possible, although I've never attempted it. You should be able to modify user and forum permissions via the CP so that the forum is not viewable, but users can post.
