Default Advertisement banners

I have v3.7, what is the EASIEST way to post AD banners at the top of the screen and along the sides?

I saw a few threads in here that showed that you have to download. I want to just add it as a plug-in (if possible). If there is another simple way, please let me know.

Please be as detailed from start to finish as possible, Thanks!!!!

I use https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=179083 .

I've never seen a mod that didn't require a bit of template editing. You'll make it a LOT easier on yourself if you give up on the side columns.

Thanks for the response! I looked into that link you gave me and have some questions if you dont mind.

Do you have to download the "download now" link first? Because the first step it says is to go to the cpadmin options menu and okay the advertisement link, but I don't currently have that option. Is that just because I haven't downloaded the link?

If I do have to download the link where do I download it to? Sorry I am very beginner.

I am okay with just doing links next to my header and above the welcome link, just so I have a few areas for advertising. What is easiest for you?

Yes, you must download the zip file because that has all the installation instructions in it. You can download it to anywhere you want, as long as you remember where you put it.

Remember when installing: You do NOT need to edit all the templates it mentions. i.e., if you only want ads at the bottom of the screen, you only need to edit the footer template.

I downloaded it and uploaded it on my ftp to my forum folder. Now what? it says to import the product advertisement, but I don't know where to import it to. Sorry I am so new to this! Then how do I find what to edit?

This isn't the easiest mod to install, given that you must do a template edit.

Do you have any budget for this? You can ask for paid help over here.

Thing is, you've already failed step 1. Nobody told you to upload the file via FTP. You were supposed to download the file, unzip it, and carefully read all the instructions. Only after understanding the instructions were you supposed to do anything else.

.xml files are imported via your AdminCP>Plugins and Products>Manage Products. Template edits are done in AdminCP>Styles and Templates>Style Manager

I've been working on it, and I'd like to give it another try. I understand template editing so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm just having a hard time uploading it. The first step is to upload ads.php to your forum folder. I don't know where that is. If I install it as a plug in it goes in as an -xml. Thanks for your time!! Where is the location of the forum folder?

The forum folder is the one usually named /forums/. It contains folders like admincp and archive.

Yes, products use .xml files for installation.
