blog + vBulletin forum
i would need to make a site like a blog, something like this
http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com/blog/ but since we already have profiled usrses on the vBulletin users we need that users login is based on vBulletin users data table in the blog only admin/moderator can open topics and register community users can reply how can i do something like that? with the vBulletin blog plugin? or skinning a forum as a blog? or in some way using vbulletin users table with wordress? |

Just about anything can be hacked to work, however in most cases this requires a lot of time and motivation.
If you want to add blogging to your VB site I would suggest buying a license for VB blog, once downloaded you can be up and running in minutes and everything is integrated. I will admit that the current version of VB Blog is a bit weak, however this is being worked on and a new release is due shortly. do you have any link to see a sample one?
the choise is not based on the extra cost of the plugin but just on the way to get the best results, that could be mantained easily in the time could the blog be skinned as the forum, since in teh forum i have more that one skin? |
