Some users posting alot of "useless posts" but its not "spam"?

Hi,

Some of our younger members are posting really useless\pointless posts which aren't spam, but they are becoming a bit of a chore to scroll past. We have some excellent members including some great posters, but their posts are getting lost amoungst useless posts.

Has anyone else had this problem on their boards? Any ways of combating this?

Why not put them in a new usergroup and disable post count for that usergroup? that way, they will have nothing to work for.

We have an infraction for "Senseless posting" with a relative low number of points. Once they receive 1 or more of these infractions, it is usually enough to stop them posting such senseless posts (but they sem to have short memories and often repeat again after a few weeks).

On a board that I moderate, we had a user who would start word association threads. One person would post a word, the next would post the first word that came to them based on the previous, and so on. We now lock those threads and reduce the post count of anyone who starts such threads by however many posts the moderator at the time feels like.

I am using VB 3.7.1. I was just trying to create a group where the post count is disabled, but I don't see any option. How would I go about doing this?
