Box that stays there

I am wanting to put a side box on my forum (like a box on the left hand side down the forum), that stays there - ie doesn't refresh when someone clicks on a link (ie to read into a forum or a thread). Is there any way to do this?

No - unless you have your whole forum in a frame, and your bar in another.

Ok thanks, i wasn't sure how i could manage it.

I use an irc widget from www.mibbit.com - and wanted to use it as a side bar, so like a shout box - because none of the shoutboxes use irc. Is there a way i could achieve this at all?
